In order to play against other colleges, players must join FICS. It is known for sure that you can join FICS with a .edu or a comcast email address. Hotmail, yahoo, gmail, netzero, etc don't work. Also, people have been having problems connecting to the server. If you are also having problems, see the instructions on how to start playing on FICS.
